These are unused versions of a client rebrand; the original ask was to combine the two companies logos into one. A logo that incorporates the original name and showcases the services the company offers, including heating, cooling, and solar panels. For the first logo, I came up with the idea of a mid-century style modern home with the text inside of it. I then added the three lines above it that emulate a window, but are shaped like wind blowing. The second logo was to represent a more fun version of the logo, I chose a font that to me had a lot of interesting shapes, and the sun was created as alternating rectangles of various sizes shaped in a circle. In the end the client went with a different version of the logo we created, but these two were my favorite.
THE DRESS PLACE
I wanted this logo to feature a stylized illustration of a dress with a few noticeable details, such as the flared skirt and the fitted bodice. I also chose a more playful, bold font to accompany it because I thought of the location as more of a store centered around families than an upscale one. Using bright pink made the logo stand out and kept the playful theme I was going for.
Windseeker Travel
For this logo, I wanted to use a stylized three-dimensional red paper airplane. I placed it on top of a dashed blue line that forms the shape of a location pin, symbolizing travel or going to a location. The red dot under it shows the specific location. I used a bold red serif font for the text. I felt the plane and the pin made for a fun mix, clearly showing the idea of travel and exploration.
